Rafael Varaschin [pronounced vara-SKEEN] joined Quantum in April 2025. He has over 9 years of regulatory experience working with Sponsors and CROs in numerous programs, particularly on early development phases for rare diseases, neurology, psychiatry and oncology molecules where he provided critical insight in drafting and submitting Phase 1, 2 and 3 clinical protocols, Real World Evidence (RWE) studies, Investigator’s Brochures, Orphan Drug and Fast Track Designation requests. His geographic experience includes Canada (Health Canada), where he currently lives, US (FDA), and Europe (EMA, MHRA). In addition, Rafael leverages 15 years of academic research experience in the fields of neuroscience and pharmacology. Rafael is a trained pharmacist with an MS in Pharmacology and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Neuroscience) from the University of New Mexico.
